It's important to acknowledge children have been sexually abused throughout history . The impact and frequency would be a concern even without such social trends as the normalization of exploitation. Still, countering what has become the normalization of sexual harm and child sexual exploitation is a critical component of the effort to promote healthy development of children, protect children and prevent exploitation and clean up the polluted sexually toxic society. Comprehensive approaches are needed for effective prevention and such efforts include action to counter harmful social norms.en_US
