dc.description.abstractPoly-victimization is an important new concept for the field of maltreatment prevention and intervention. It is defined as experiencing several different types of victimization regardless of the duration or frequency of each. Poly-victims have many more mental health symptoms than other victimized children and in many cases it is the poly-victimization rather than the individual the duration or frequency of each.
