The National Children's Advocacy Center (NCAC) provides a model for the forensic interview of a child or adolescent which has a semi-structured format that can be adapted to children of different ages and cultural backgrounds, and is useful for interviewing children who may have experienced sexual or physical abuse or who may be a witness to violence against another person. The NCAC Child Forensic Interview Structure (NCAC CFIS) emphasizes a flexible, thoughtful, decision-making approach throughout the interview and does not recommend a scripted format.en_US
