The Model builds on many years of work by experts and practitioners and it builds on the existing international framework; for action to prevent and tackle CSEA. This includes the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and its Optional Protocol on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography. As well as the Agendas for Action produced as a result of the three World Congresses against the Sexual Exploitation of Children and Adolescents which took place in Sweden in 1996, Japan in 2001 and Brazil in 2008.en_US
