According to the U.S. Department of Justice, the average age a person is targeted and lured into sex trafficking is between the ages of 12 and 14. Despite what most people want to believe, sex trafficking of minors is a crime that plagues the United States. Participants will learn how children with sexual abuse histories are at a higher risk of being sexually trafficked and becoming victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Participants will learn how Child Advocacy Centers, along with a multidisciplinary team approach, can be utilized to identify potential victims, respond to these victims, and conduct forensic interviews of sexually trafficked and commercial sexually exploited children.en_US
