Failure to thrive is a term often misused and misunderstood. Accurate recognition of this symptom and complete evaluation for its causes are imperative to ensure a child’s optimal health and development. This workshop will discuss definitions, identification of the failing-to-thrive child, and evaluation and treatment from a bio-psychosocial perspective, using case examples to illustrate each issue.en_US
