The reports provide information on state and national performance in operating child protection and child welfare programs. The reports present performance in seven outcome categories, which were identified in close consultation with state and local child welfare agency administrators, child advocacy organizations, child welfare researchers, state legislators, and other experts in the child welfare field. The outcomes reflect a consensus of these groups regarding important performance objectives for child welfare practice.en_US
