Abstract
Children are the most vulnerable group of society. Society is increasingly interested
in protecting children's rights and health. However, child sexual abuse (CSA) still persists in
Vietnam. Especially for students, they face the risk of sexual abuse from many people, including
their friends, teachers and staff at the school. Although the issue of child sexual abuse has been
taken care of by the government and put into law, this problem can only really spread when public
relations (PR) activities are promoted. In order to understand the influence of PR on child sexual
abuse protection in middle and high schools in Vietnam, the study conducted interviews with 54
experts at NGOs and 15 officials and leaders of the Vietnam Children's Department. The results
show that PR activities have been highly appreciated in preventing children's sexual abuse.
However, the implementation of PR for this issue in Vietnam still faces many limitations.
