The NATIONAL CWI has been produced every year since 2004 but only for the country as a whole, not for individual states. This study uses data from 2007 to update a similar study published some years ago that was based on data from 2003. The years (2003 and 2007) are selected because that is when the National Survey of Children s Health (NSCH) data have been collected and the NSCH is the only state-level source of data for several key indicators of child well-being.pdfFamilyRiskEconomic impactChild welfare -- statisticsChild welfareAnalyzing State Differences in Child Well-BeingText
