Abstract
This article explores the use of telehealth and the ability to provide health care to patients through interactive technology
and telecommunication tools. The use of telehealth continues to grow, reaching multiple medical specialties and providing
care to a greater population of patients. The purpose of this article is to increase the knowledge of telehealth, identify
positive outcomes associated with telehealth as well as potential barriers, and evaluate the benefits against the downfalls to
determine whether the positive outcomes outweigh the barriers.
