Abstract
To address this issue, this law review article includes a case study designed to illustrate some of the complexities multi-disciplinary teams (MDTs) of child protection professionals encounter when corporal punishment is practiced in the name of God. When should the team charge a parent with a crime? When should a child protection petition be filed? When the MDT is relying on research, and a parent is relying on the Bible, is there a way to bridge the gap?
